Ecoinformatics student Andrew Abraham won 2nd place in the ECOS: A Review of conservation annual essay competition. His essay, entitled “Wild animals fertilise wild ecosystems: but will we let them?” describes the role megafauna play in the global phosphorus cycle and the detrimental effects of extinction on the global distribution of this critical nutrient.
