Workshop on “Memory in Ecological Systems”

Former Ogle Lab post-doc, Yao Liu, organized a 1.5 day-long workshop on “Emerging Frameworks for Understanding Memory in Ecological Systems,” which was sponsored by and held at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Tennessee. As invited contributors, Kiona and Drew gave presentations on the stochastic antecedent modeling (SAM) framework. There were lots of stimulating discussion among a diverse and intimate group, spanning a range of backgrounds, from applied math/computer science to ecology. We are pursing ideas for disseminating results and opinions that emerged from the workshop. Photo courtesy of Forrest Hoffman.
