In\ncollaboration with Mariah Carbone in ECOSS, Drew Peltier was awarded a\nRAPID-NSF grant, \u201cLeveraging an experimental drought on mature trees to study\nmechanisms of drought mortality and legacies with radiocarbon\u201d (~$197,000 for 1\nyear). Drew will measure the radiocarbon age of non-structural carbohydrates in\npinyon trees experiencing severe drought at the Sevilleta LTER.
